3 Most bought stocks in May – besides Kenya Airways and Sameer

Besides Kenya Airways and Sameer, these are other stocks that shone in May:
Eveready East Africa (EVRD) shares jumped 25% in May to wrap up the month at Ksh1.00. The shares continued to rise last week to finish at Ksh1.16 on Friday. Eveready is in the business of selling battery and related products. At this point, Eveready shares have pulled up 54.7% from their 52-week of Ksh0.75 but still trade 9.4% below their 52-week high of Ksh1.28.

Kapchorua Tea Kenya PLC (KAPC) shares rose 18% in May to close the month at Ksh79. But the shares fell last week to finish at Ksh72 on Friday. At this point, Kapchorua shares trade 22% above their 52-week low of Ksh59 and 24% below their 52-week high of Ksh95.
Uchumi Supermarket (UCHM) stock popped up 11% in May to finish the month at Ksh0.30. The shares continued to rise last week to finish at Ksh0.32 on Friday. At this point, Uchumi shares trade 39% above their 52-week low of Ksh0.23 and 56% below their 52-week high of Ksh0.73.

Eaagads (EGAD) shares tumbled 17.6% in May to finish the month at Ksh8.24. The shares finished last week flat at Ksh8.24. At this point, Eaagads shares trade just close to their 52-week low of Ksh8.20 and 41% below their 52-week high of Ksh14.
Diamond Trust Bank Kenya (DTK) shares fell 14.2% in May to wrap up the month at Ksh71.25. The shares continued to fall last week to finish at Ksh69.75 on Friday. At this point, Diamond shares trade 2.6% above their 52-week low of Ksh68 and 45% below their 52-week high of Ksh127.
Kenya Power (KPLC) stock dropped 12.9% in May to close the month at Ksh1.75. But the shares rebounded last week to finish at Ksh2.05 on Friday. At this point, Kenya Power shares trade 25.8% above their 52-week low of Ksh1.63 and 52% below their 52-week high of Ksh4.28.
